Alabama Passport to Fitness

Whether you've lived your life in Alabama or you've just arrived, a parade of surprises awaits you on the 85 walks (319 miles) featured in the Passport To Fitness book that will take you through nearly that many communities (some communities have as many as five walks). This program is a project of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), and its purpose is to promote Alabama's fitness resources. To make things more fun for you and your family, the ADECA project team created a section of the guide called the Stamp Pages where you can get a stamp for each of the featured walks. Your Passport to Fitness Guides are available at Town Hall, Fort Gaines and the Dauphin Island Police Department. You can get your passport stamped at Dauphin Island Police Department on Desoto Avenue. To make things more rewarding for you go to the ADECA website at www.ADECA.Alabama.gov/passporttofitness. You'll watch the website grow as participants add photos and personal information. You'll find the GPS waypoints you need to locate anything you see in the Passport Guide.
