SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION- For East End!
Recognizing that vehicular and pedestrian traffic is on the increase along portions of the island's East End. The Police Chief has recommended reduced speeds and additional signage from approximately Buchanan Street east on Bienville Blvd. This will include areas that are routinely congested with vehicles/ trailers, ferry passengers/ traffic and pedestrians in and around the Campground, Sea Lab/ Estuarium and Ft. Gaines vicinity. Please use caution when traveling in these areas and observe new signage and speed limits.
