The Coastal Clean Up has become an environmental highlight for the State of Alabama serving as the largest volunteer event focused on the removal of marine debris. As you may know, the Alabama Coastal Clean Up is actually part of a much larger national and international event held on the third Saturday in September. Since the inception of the Alabama program in 1987, more than 987,000 volunteers have participated and removed in excess of 1.6 million pounds of marine debris from our valued shorelines and waterways!

If you'd like to help this year simply show up at Cadillac Square by 8am to register, pick up supplies and identify your preferred area to clean (or be assigned an area). For more information please contact Dauphin Island Zone Captain Merritt McCall at (251) 861-2141 ext. 2384.
