First up is the annual Hurricane Run 5K and Fun Run sponsored by the Port City Pacers on Saturday, September 9 at 810am. Headquartered at the east end, this race starts and finishes at the Sea Lab after winding its way through Pass Drury neighborhoods. The 5K race offers participants as many as 16 age divisions to compete in for top honors. Packet pick-up and race day registration will take place at the Sea Lab from 645-750am. The event is held in honor of Adam Clark, the youngest victim of the Sailboat Regatta tragedy that occurred in 2015.  All proceeds will benefit the Adam Clark Foundation which has previously donated to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, the South Alabama Chapter of the Red Cross and provided scholarships to graduating seniors at Baker High where he attended school.
