    The Town of Dauphin Island is sponsoring a Spring Plant Sale and Give-Awal on Saturday, March 4 from 8am - 2pm in front of Green Park and everyone is encourage to attend. A number of vendors will be on site offering a variety of specialty trees such as hardwood trees, flowering plants (indoor/outdoor), palms, citrus trees and beach & dune vegetation to name just a few. In addition to the many items that will be for sale, town representatives will be handing out an assortment of FREE trees, plants, sea oats and more to Dauphin Island residents and property owners (with proper identification) on a first-come-first-served basis. The Town will purchase items for the give-away with proceeds from its Enviromental Mitigation Fund in an effort to enhance the island’s natural beauty and enviromental sustainability. The plant sale isopen to the public so be sure to invite your friends and neighbors.

  • Stirring the Sand

    Ft. Gaines Camp Ground

    DIHAC’s Hertiage Committee will present the next segment of “Stirring the Sand”, featuring live storytelling about life and culture on Old Dauphin Island, on Thursday, March 9 2017 at the DI Campground. The event begins at 4pm with a “meet & greet” around the campfire, followed by storytelling at 5pm at the Campground pavilion. Peter Tanner will be the featured storyteller and members of the audience will be invited to share their stories of the Island. Free and open to the public - donations are always welcomed and appreciated.

    Calling all kids! The 2017 St. Jude’s Bike-A-Thon is set for Saturday, March 11. Registration starts at 8:30am adn concludes at 11;30 and you are encouraged to participate in this annual fundraiser sponsored by the DI Women’s Club.
